Fred Asare was appointed as Managing Director of Village of Hope by the Board of Directors in 1994 before the official inauguration of Village of Hope in 1996. Through his leadership, his passion and his vision for the children of Ghana, Village of Hope has grown and continues to grow amidst great challenges. Fred is also a preacher and a minister of the church of Christ. He has a BSc. in Business Administration from the University of Ghana; and a MA in Christian Ministry and a MA in Theology and History, both from Abilene Christian University (ACU). In 2021, he was named the ACU Outstanding Alumnus of the Year and also conferred with an honorary doctorate from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

As a medical student, Alex volunteered his time at the Andrea Browning Clinic during his vacations. He joined the team in 2012 as Medical Director, and has grown the clinic into what we know today as Hope Christian Hospital. In January 2021, Alex was given the additional role of Deputy Group Managing Director in charge of Operations for the Village of Hope Group. Alex has a BSc. in Medical Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ghana, a Masters in Public Health from Walden University, and a MSc. in Clinical Leadership and Management from the University of Ghana Business School.

Prince has been the Head of Physical Resources since January 2021. This role became necessary in 2021, to accommodate the growth of Village of Hope. The Head of Physical Resources is responsible for the Estate, Transport and Security Departments of Village of Hope. Having accumulated 16 years of experience in the Ghana Prisons Service and ascending to the rank of Chief Inspector, Prince retired from active service with expertise in construction, maintenance, security, and law enforcement. His valuable insights have introduced new perspectives to the Management Team of Village of Hope. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Building Technology from the Accra Technical University and a Construction Technicians Certificate from Tema Technical Institute.

Faustina’s first appointment to a role at Village of Hope was in 2002, when she became the Headteacher of the Nursery Department of Hope Christian Academy. She served in this role until January 2021 when she was promoted to the position of Managing Director of Hope Christian Academy. Faustina holds a BSc.in Entrepreneurship from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

In 2014, with our growth, it became necessary for us to have an Internal Auditor on the team. Alfred Donkor is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana) and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with specialization in Accounting and Management. His efforts help us to develop and maintain the highest standards of stewardship. Apart from his role as the Group Internal Auditor of the entire Village of Hope, Alfred also volunteers to teach Business students at Hope College when necessary.

Samuel is a Chartered Accountant. He started working with Village of Hope in 2012 as an Accounts Officer for the hospital, which was still a clinic at the time. By 2014, he was working as the hospital’s Finance and Administrative Manager. At the end of September 2014, when we needed a new Chief Finance Officer, Samuel was appointed. His current role as Head of Financial Resources for the Village of Hope puts him in charge of the team of accounts officers that handle the finances of all the subsidiaries of Village of Hope. Samuel has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Coast and a MSc. in Development Finance from the University of Ghana Business School.

In February 2013, soon after her national service, Julliet was employed as an Accounts Officer at Hope Christian Academy. Then, in September 2015, she was transferred to Hope Training Institute to continue her work as an Accounts Officer at another subsidiary of Village of Hope. After over five years of performing that role, Julliet was promoted to the role of Managing Director of Hope Training Institute in January 2021. Julliet has a BSc. in Accounting from the University of Education, Winneba and a MSc. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. She is also a candidate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana pursuing certification as a Chartered Accountant.

For 5 years Richmond taught Agricultural Science at Hope Christian Academy and his students got some of the best grades in the Central Region. When the time came for Village of Hope to take charge of the Church of Christ school in Nkwatia in 2008, Richmond was the obvious choice. The school's name is now Hope Ridge School and Richmond Twum is its Managing Director. He has a Teacher's Certificate "A" from E.P College of Education, Bimbilla, a Diploma in Basic Education from University of Cape Coast and a Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education from the same university. Richmond has undertaken several online courses with renowned universities across the globe including University of Michigan (Leading People and Teams); Macquarie University (Leadership in 21st Century Organizations); HEC Paris (Building Your Leadership Skills); University of Edinburgh (The Clinical Psychology of Children and Young People); and Columbia University (The Age of Sustainable Development).

In 2021, Kwaku became the Deputy Group Managing Director responsible for Stakeholder Relations. Kwaku Sarkodie joined the Village of Hope family in 2014 as the Managing Director of Hope Children’s Village and, through his leadership, we provided care for many children from nursery to university. Kwaku has a BSc. in Mathematics and a MBA in Finance from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He also has a Diploma in Financial Management and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from ICM, UK. Kwaku has participated in Live2Lead, the annual leadership gathering developed by The John Maxwell Company, since 2015. When his help is needed, Kwaku teaches Mathematics to our high school students.

Comfort joined the Village of Hope Group as a Senior Human Resource Manager of Hope Christian Hospital, and was given the additional role of Head of Human Resources for the entire Village of Hope Group. Comfort has come to the table with over five years’ experience working as a Human Resource Practitioner in the public and private sector. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resource Management from the University College of Management Studies.

Samuel was appointed as Managing Director of Hope Children’s Village in January 2021 but he began his work at Village of Hope in 2012 as a Mathematics Teacher at Hope College. While teaching at Hope College, he also worked as the Assistant Headmaster then, for a year (June 2017 - July 2018), Samuel served as the Executive Assistant the Group Managing Director and then, briefly, as the Quality Assurance Officer for Hope College. Before becoming the Managing Director of Hope Children’s Village, Samuel was the acting Headmaster of Hope College for two years. Samuel has a BSc. in Civil Engineering from KNUST; a MPhil in Mathematics from University of Education, Winneba; and an Executive MBA from GIMPA. He is currently pursuing a PhD program in Mathematics Education at University of Education, Winneba.
